Monday Morning Ribbing

So today I got to partake in my first Agency Status, I didn't realize at the time but I that was also the first Agency Status in the new office, dubbed Foxhole2.0.  Not sure what the culture is here, but James was getting pretty cozy with me, practically sitting on my lap.  What was I to do but stretch out and put my arm around him, okay...awkward.

The status was pretty informative and it was my first opportunity to get the download on all the projects and clients handled in the office.  As we were going through the status I think people were ribbing me a little bit with their client status and innuendos.  Here were a couple of good ones:

"Alot Meatier" - Sunni P
"Curtains match the drapes" - Chris P
and My favorite
"the Skeleton Key" - Ryan M

Well gotta run,

Learning the Ropes

I am still adjusting the advertising life and getting use to how things work.  Today I learned to play the game Magic the Gathering.  In the advertising world this is called product familiarity or research, to the rest of the working world it is called dicking around.  The reason I am learning to play this game is it is one of the core products for our clients...I am not going to say what other products they have as I am sure I will soon be posting about these Adventures as well.
Anyways back to the game.  Manny aka "Manchild" was kind enough to let me borrow one of his pre-made decks to teach me the mechanics.  This is a whole new world for me and I must say I am a little addicted.  I now know what they mean when they refer to this game as "Cardboard Crack".
One of the coolest things I learned today; there are powers and creatures that can bring cards in your "Graveyard" back to life...man I could have used these powers about a hundred years ago.
Although I was using a pre-constructed deck and I learned about the graveyard tricks, I was no match for the Manchild today.
I must go now and perfect my game.

Interview Day

WEll,the good news is I made it through the first day of my new job without getting fired - WOOOHOO! Even more amazing is that I'm actually here in the first place, after my performance at the interview for this gig.  Now that's a whole other story - let me tell you about it...

After more than a week of stuffy cramped travel, I finally arrived at the Foxhole 2.0.  After my long trip, I'd plenty of time to prepare and was both physically and mentally ready for a grueling interview.  Upon arrival I found out that the Chief Fox would not be in until later.  They had me sit at the desk by myself as if placed in a corner for bad behavior, and if that wasn't bad enough they made me wear this silly hat...just reaffirming that I felt like the dunce in the corner.
I know what it looks like, but that beer is not mine.  I SWEAR! Cross my heart and hope to die (well more than I already have).
Well I don't want to bore you with the rest of the interview details as I obviously got the job.
Now I gotta get back to work.

1st Day at the office

So today was my first day at the office and there was no way better to break in the new place than with a 6 Pack of Stella.  Little did I know that others were trying to work when I cracked the 1st one.   To quote one of my role models "It taste so good when it hits your lips" - Frank the Tank, well at least that is what I have heard but as I have no lips, it is strictly hearsay.  The next thing I knew one of my new co-workers was snapping this photo of me.
Well at least I was still standing, a little cockeyed, but still standing.

Stay tuned for more post at my new gig...that is if I don't get canned.
